Title: Bariatric Registered Nurse

Location: Annapolis, MD

Shift: Monday - Friday 8 am- 4:30 (no weekends)

Compensation: $30 - $40hr (depending on years of experience)

Must haves:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Two years of related clinical nursing experience.
• Current Maryland Board of Nursing license.
• CPR through the American Heart Association (BLS for Healthcare Providers level)

Pluses

• EPIC Experience
• Good Customer service/communication
• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
• Preferred background: General Surgery Unit, must be familiar and comfortable covering bariatric unit as needed. Familiarity with plastic surgery a plus.
• Can perform patient IV’s

Day to day

Insight Global is seeking Registered Nurse to efficiently and effectively triage incoming calls and provide a variety of nursing treatment functions, including assessment of symptoms, prioritizing patient appointments, facilitating smooth patient flow and by providing assistance to both physician and clinical support staff within the office. There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.

Essential Job Duties

1. Obtains patient vital signs and prepares patients for examination by physician.

2. Schedules surgical appointments with patient and with hospital or surgical center.

3. Communicates with insurance companies to obtain required authorizations.

4. Communicates with patients regarding their medical questions, medication inquiries, etc.

5. Handles follow-up/post-op calls to patients.

6. Handles DME and Home Nursing Orders.

7. Completes patient FMLA and Return to Work forms.

8. Manages medical supply ordering. Sterilizes surgical equipment.

9. Assists physician with in-office procedures as needed.

10. Updates MSDS Binder as needed.

11. Assists with answering phones as needed

Compensation

$30 to $40

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
